Yarn from Peru and Crowns

Mi brother Javier brought me these beautiful yarns from his latest Peru trip. The colors are so bright  and happy my heart warms up just by looking at them. I am planning my next project, sooo exciting....in the meantime, I couldn't t resist and used it for crochet crowns....kids crowns...do you like them?

Summer Crochet Flowers - flower brooch

I looked at my calendar today and we only have 4 weeks of Summer vacation left to enjoy, like Paola would say "it's so unfair!"...and I have to agree :) These past weeks have been wonderful, we been enjoying the simple things...no homework, staying up late, baking cookies, visiting friends, planning our annual trip to Cuba...

 

I wanted a quick project, something I could start and end in an afternoon, full of color, beautiful, bright full summer flowers...

 

 



 

Crochet Concentric Circles Pillow

In my previous post I mentioned two pillows, well here is the second one!
I crocheted the back and front a long time ago and just sew them together yesterday, don't they look cute side by side?

Crochet Granny Pillow - Done!

When I first started my crochet adventure about a year ago or so, I  started these two pillows. Granny squares and concentric circles. The colors is what attracted me the most, I wanted to brighten my living room a bit. I finished them, well finished the front and then stop…wanted a fabric cover but never materialized, another PhD (project half done) in my long list.

Well, well not in my PhD list anymore. I found to courage to crochet the back and finally display them in all their colorful beauty !!!!!!!!
