It’s raining apples, crochet apples

Thank God for our children, aren’t they the most wonderful blessing? They make us proud, they fill our hearts with joy, but more importantly they keep us honest…

For example, my son is not shy reminding me that my jokes aren’t funny, especially when I use Spanglish that only I understand….

My original post had this title: It’s raining men..zanas, manzanas…according to Nesty, not funny at all…

Going back to the crochet, it’s that time of the year to recognize the teachers in our lives, they make such a great impact in our children’s day to day lives!

Pao had a wonderful teacher this year, Miss Clarke, she is an opera singer that decided she wanted to work with children and became a teacher. This is her first year teaching ever, she is wonderful, caring, and sweet. This apple is for you Miss Clarke

Paola's crochet beach dress

I couldn’t have asked for a better blog to bump into than Annoo’s Crochet World. I wanted to make a beach dress for Pao that was cute and pretty, and EASY at the same time.

A very tall order, I know…but well, "ask and you shall receive".

It took me roughly 4 or 5 hours to complete, and I am a very slow crotchetier (it’s that even a word??) Annoo’s step by step instructions and pictures are wonderful. Give it a try! I did and enjoyed the ride!!

Friendship Bracelet Chevron and Arrow Head

Do you remember making bracelets with embroidery thread in school?  I do. I would tape the thread under my desk, during class!  and blissfully knot away..it is such a rewarding feeling..so easy and fast  to complete.. My type of project.  For the chevron pattern click  Here and the arrow head.

First a Keychain now a bracelet - Manta Inka Beads

I got this keychain with Peruvian beads made from "manta Inka" fabric 4 years ago on our trip to Lima. I never wore it fearing it would get damaged, till I saw beautiful Sophia wearing her bracelet!!!
I couldn't wait any longer, I got some beads from Michael's and with Paola's help created these bracelets!! I am so excited, cannot wait to wear them!!!
