Knitted bunny and blanket for Mily

Where would I be without my friends? I am blessed with wonderful and caring friends,  friends that inspire me and motivate me to do more, to continue to learn and to reach for the sky

My dear friend Mily from milycooperphotography.com is a clear example of inspiration. Very recently, less than a year ago, Mily started her photography business, not only she is loving mother of two, dedicated wife, and wonderful daughter and sister, but she also has a full time job as a System  Analyst for an important financial institution.

I admire her dedication, her passion, and above everything, her love. You can see the love she pours in every frame captured by her lens…I wanted to contribute somehow with her work of love…so I knitted this blanket (elastic stitch) and this tiny bunny….my grain of sand for her big production…thanks Mily

For the blanket I used Cozy Wool yarn, from Loops and Threads, color  Velvet, with US #13 knitting needles. I casted on 80 stitches (too many I think) and used ribbing  stitch (alternating knit and purl stitches) Two whole balls of yarn (90 yards, 4.5 oz each).

For the bunny I used Satin from Bernat, color Silk and # 4 knitting needles. I casted 35 stitches and knitted a square using jersey stitches (knit  the first row, and purled the second row, repeat till desired length).
